Why do I need Eagle Eyes Home Watch? 

You’ve made a substantial investment in a beach property.  If you leave it for any period of time, unexpected things can happen, especially in beach communities. 

Little storms can turn into big ones, water damage from rain or broken water pipes or even the ice maker!  There are power outages, storm surge, bugs or critters can get into your home, and more! 

How often do you check my property?

We prefer to check your home once a week but if you prefer twice a month, we are happy to help.  We recently visited a property where they owners forgot to winterize the outside shower.  A bitter cold snap resulted in us finding cracked outside pipes where water had been flowing for days.  We were able to get it all shut off, report it to the home owner, and help them find someone who will fix the pipes in the spring.

I’m having furniture delivered.  Will you meet the delivery folks at the house?

Absolutely!  We are happy to oversee deliveries and even repairs.  Sending a package to arrive before you do?  Just let us know, and we will put it inside for you. 

How do you prepare for storms?

That is unique to each home and owner.  It might involve as little as securing outside shower doors or taking in decorative flags.  Or it might include bringing your deck furniture cushions inside and taking down your pool umbrellas.  We will work with you ahead of time to know what you’d like to have done so if we learn bad weather is coming, you aren’t trying to make decisions under stress.

I just bought a house – NOW WHAT?

Take a deep breath.  We can meet with the locksmith and coordinate getting you the new keys to your house.  Have vendors who need to make repairs like fixing a garage door or replacing the dishwasher?  Need someone to haul away furniture you don’t want?  Having new stuff delivered?  We can meet them at the house for you!  We will coordinate and send photos when things are finished. 

OK, what else do you do?

When doing our checks, we will check for mail or packages.  Having some work done and need quotes?  We can meet the contractor and wait while they gather the information they need.  Have HVAC maintenance or a pest treatment contract?  We’ll let them in and wait while they do their thing. 

That’s awesome!  I’ve got a list of little things I need to get done and don’t want to always spend my vacation time working on the house.  I want to relax, go to the beach, and make some memories!

We can help with that too.  Give us your list and we can talk.  Need any of those recessed lights that are 15 feet up changed?  We can do that.  Minor painting?  No problem.  Is one of your doors sticking?  We’ll take a look at it.  Heck, we’ve even installed vinyl window cling for a client to enjoy a nice soak in the tub in private yet still have lots of natural light in her bathroom.  Let us take on some of your projects so you can enjoy your time here.

Yes, we are insured – for your peace of mind as well as ours!  Dorothy is a licensed broker and REALTOR® in North Carolina and as such, is held to a high ethical standard.  John ran a successful business in Maryland for over 17 years before selling it and moving here full time.  We care, and we will treat your property like our own.  Our goal is to provide you with peace of mind when you can’t be here.

Where do you provide service?

Mostly Corolla because that’s where we live and work.  That way we aren’t far away should a client need some assistance.  We also provide assistance to Duck, Southern Shores and Kitty Hawk.  Carova homes have a different rate due to the greater challenges associated with reaching those properties.  We both have 4 wheel drive vehicles.
